Russia’s Rosneft may buy TMK’s pipes for development of shelf
MOSCOW, Jan 12 (PRIME) -- Russian oil major Rosneft has signed memorandum of cooperation with TMK pipeline maker, under which it may buy gas pipelines, including pipes for shelf development, Rosneft said in a statement on Tuesday.
“Within cooperation the sides plan to consider using TMK’s current products in shelf projects of Rosneft, as well as production of pipes of new types commissioned by the oil company,” Rosneft said.
Rosneft hopes that cooperation will allow it to increase production efficiency on the shelf and in hard-to-reach regions.
TMK, one of world’s leading producers of pipes for oil and gas companies, exports products to more than 80 countries and runs over 30 units in Russia, the U.S., Canada, Romania, Oman, the U.A.E. and Kazakhstan and two research and development departments in Russia and the U.S.
